Ballarat's Mill Markets Snapshots.............

So many awesome collectibles and antiques to be found at Ballarat's Mill Markets.  We're looking forward to the long weekend, we'll have the fires blazing, the cafe will be in full swing and stallholders welcome everyone to come along for a great day out!

Barbara is herself a treasure to have onboard at the Mill Markets, with her vast  expertise, experience and knowledge of  collectibles.
The ABC programme 'The Collectors' - 'Ballarat On Tour - 2006' saw Barb's vast collection of Bakelite items on display and also showcased the incredible world of her husband Bill and his outstanding collection of - well - everything!
Barb's stall has an inexhaustible supply of items, awaiting your attention, not to be missed!

A TEXTILE TREASURE TROVE

An amazing assortment of knits,  namely hats and the most incredibly unique scarves and shawls-designed and made by Jennifer Franklin are only a part of what makes up this stall at the Mill Markets in Ballarat.  Beautiful jewelery is also on offer....oh, and not to forget the fabulous shoes!!!  Jen is only too happy to assist with enquiries and has a wealth of knowledge regarding all things textile.  Jen is also a regular at the Annual Alice Springs Beanie Festival, which is a massive event!


This colourful stall is too good  to miss, so grab yourself some stylish winter woolies now!

GYPSY DREAMS - new at MM

A new stall to look out for is 'GYPSY DREAMS' which stocks a variety of vintage and retro quality clothing, jewelery, hats, bags, shoes, interesting tribal pieces, incense, bric-a-brac.
A Bohemian mix of fashion and culture collide to provide an awesome new stall - Best of luck Denise!

THE PICKLED PIG

 

 

The Pickled Pig is one half of a delightful stall, which features a quality handmade assortment of goodies, including bags, blankets, bunting, cushions, cats, dolls and lots of colour.
Just a small sample of whats on offer at Sophie's stall, which is located in the corner, by the back double doors-just across from the giant wood fire, making it a cosy place to visit!
Part 2 of this stall will feature very soon-keep an eye out for details............

RETRO NOWRO - original 50's 60's 70's gems

Calypso dancers, and a John Lynch adorn the walls at this very groovy and authentic stall created by Helen.

West German Pottery, Art Glass, Morano, Teak furniture, Lamps and the chrome and laminate kitchen setting feature in this superbly laid out stall at the Ballarat Mill Market.  Helen's eye for detail is evident in the fabulously presented style and quality of the items available.

THE MILL MARKETS - BALLARAT

Today saw the 'Official Opening' of the Mill Markets Ballarat, situated on the Western Highway, you may remember it as the Ballarat Woolshed,  next door to the Mini Golf which displays the massive Giant Miner statue.  (on the way to Melbourne from Ballarat)

The place was a hive of activity, with locals and visitors alike, enjoying the offerings of the stallholders, with such diverse varieties of Antiques, Vintage, Retro, a bit of contemporary, Art, interior design, pretty much a paradise for collectors in general!
